Nose : rich, deep. At once gourmand (baked apple, raisin bread, tiramisu) and tangy (candied lemon), the aromatic palette is initially very nuanced. This olfactory duality is reinforced by the presence of noble spices (cardamom, cinnamon), cocoa powder and exotic fruits (pineapple). Palate : ample, racy. Initially peppery, almost spicy, the palate rapidly evolves towards more roasted (coffee) and tertiary flavors (cashew nuts, raisins, salted butter caramel). Country and malty, it then gives the sensation of sinking into a greasy, rooty earth. Overall : fruity, silky. Oriental-influenced, the tasting continues with an extremely delicate mouthfeel. Then, as the tasting progresses, a thin layer of salted butter caramel spreads around the palate and citrus flavors (orange, grapefruit) add a tangy dimension. |
