The third permanent reference from the Kilchoman family farm distillery, Batch Strength was conceived by Anthony Wills, the founder of the distillery. Following the iconic Machir Bay, which explores the influence of bourbon casks, and Sanaig, which highlights aging in oloroso sherry casks, Kilchoman innovates with a blend of whiskies aged in oloroso sherry casks, bourbon casks, and also in toasted red wine casks. A few drops of Kilchoman spring water were added after maturation to reach 57% ABV, merging the power and natural character of Kilchoman with dark fruits, rich spices, and the sweetness of salted caramel. |
