We're always glad to see a glorious single malt from Glen Scotia come through our doors, but we're positively beaming with pride at this one – an exclusive cask whisky, bottled up for us at Master of Malt. Look! It even has our name on it! Distilled in 2014, this whisky spent eight years maturing including a finish in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez cask, yielding an outturn of 300 bottles in 2022.
Vol: 70cl
ABV: 54.9%
Nose: Layers of sticky dates and figs, fragrant spices, and fresh orchard fruits.
Palate: Charred brown sugar opens the way for cooked, spiced apples, flaky pastry, and sweet liquorice while dustings of nutmeg and crystalised ginger develop.
Finish: Juicy fig returns on the finish, with drizzles of dark honey and treacly molasses, backed up by sweet stewed fruits and mixed spices.
