Brunello CastelGiocondo 2015 immediately catches the eye with its vivid ruby red color. The nose reveals scents of cherries and sour cherry under spirit. Cinnamon, tobacco, mint, and tea leaves mix to create a rich aroma, with each component alternating without dominating the others. The wine totally envelops the palate, with silky tannins that create a creamy sensation. The alcoholic component is nicely balanced by a fresh balsamic and savory mineral experience. A long finish, as is typical of CastelGiocondo’s finest vintage wines. |
