It seems like Elon Musk and Tesla has their hands in many industries and projects. From bringing humanity to Mars, running the world's most valuable car company and creating flamethrowers, one would think that Elon Musk would have his hands full.
That is not the case as he decided to have some skin in the liquor world with the creation of the Tesla Tequila! This was released in 2020 and sold out immediately despite its hefty price tag of $250 USD!
Shaped like a lightning bolt and true to its design, the bottles sold out as quick as lightning in its two releases- one in Nov 2020 and the other 4 months later.
The Drink
The Tesla Tequila was made in collaboration with Patron, one of the most popular Tequila brands in the world!
It is made from sustainably sourced highland and lowland agaves and aged for 15 months in French Oak barrels then bottled into the iconic hand-blown glass bottle.
Taste wise, the Tesla Tequila features a dry fruit and light vanilla nose with a balanced cinnamon pepper finish. It is also said to be best enjoyed as a sipper.
