A special edition whisky from Ben Nevis in celebration of their 185th year. It is an attempt at recreating the McDonald's Traditional Ben Nevis which was a popular dram in the 1880s. This non-age statement single malt is a recreation of McDonald's Traditional malt, a popular whisky from Ben Nevis distillery in the 1800's. More heavily peated than modern Ben Nevis and predominantly matured in Sherry casks. This whisky combines sweet sherried fruit with thick bonfire smoke and savoury flavours of cured meat, pepper, clove, bitter orange, and woody spice. A full bodied and complex single malt. |
